Omron unveils smartwatch with blood pressure tracking and it will be coming out this year. With medical-grade blood pressure measurements, sleep tracking, take on-wrist measurements while you sleep. This is just amazing.
With the Omron HeartGuide watch, packing and wearing blood pressure cuffs might be a thing of the past, if it works as well as promised. The watch band actually inflates to take measurements like a normal doctor’s blood pressure cuff, syncs to your Omron phone app, where data can be shared with a doctor.
The watch also takes manual readings and spot heart rate measurements, but can also be set to take night readings to test for hypertension and risk of stroke. The watch should last for 10 days to 2 weeks on a single charge. It should cost between $349.
